Chris Lane is a name that resonates with any fishing enthusiast, and Guntersville Chevrolet is proud to sponsor this Alabama native who has made quite the name for himself over the course of his career. Winner of the 2012 Bassmaster Classic and an eight-time tour-level winner, Chris Lane has claimed more than $2.4 million in career winnings.

Most recently, Chris took home the trophy at the 2023 Stage One on the Kissimmee Chain, a place where he grew up fishing with his dad and brothers. Various equipment, including Chris’s vehicle, jersey, and bass boat, are emblazoned with the Guntersville Chevrolet logo, representing the dealership’s support of this talented athlete.

Chris Lane’s love for fishing began on his hometown lake, Guntersville, where he still enjoys casting a line today. Beyond his success on the water, Chris is also dedicated to giving back to his community. His annual Kids’ Event, will be held on May 13th at Guntersville’s Bucky Howe Park. It’s a day of food, family, fun, and fishing that is eagerly anticipated by local families. The first 300 kids age 13 and under through the gates receive a free rod and reel from Bass Pro Shops, and there are numerous vendors and activities throughout the park. This event is held in conjunction with the 9th Annual Foodland Bass Team Tournament Chris hosts.

From casting contests to boat and kayak rides, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Parents can even join in the fun, with food trucks and extra hot dogs available for purchase. This event showcases Chris’s commitment to fostering a love of fishing in the next generation, while also providing a fun and engaging day for families. As a competitor on the Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour, Chris Lane is part of the largest tournament-fishing organization in the world. With more than 250 events annually, MLF produces some of the most prestigious fisheries in the world, broadcasting to America’s living rooms on major networks.
