    Starting Off Strong

What does the Silverado 1500 have going on under the hood for 2024? Great question! Well, it should come as no surprise that the latest Silverado 1500 doesn’t disappoint and has multiple engine choices that give drivers their ideal power and performance levels without compromise.
The 2024 Silverado 1500 comes standard with Chevy’s 2.7L TurboMax I-4. This high-output engine is new in the sense that it now carries the “TurboMax” branding, but it still offers the same great level of power, kicking out 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Combined with an eight-speed transmission, drivers can enjoy a max payload of 2,260 lbs and a max tow rating of 9,500 lbs with the base engine.

The optional 5.3L V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management and a 10-speed transmission offer drivers more performance with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. This provides up to 11,300 lbs of trailering and 2,180 lbs of payload.

    Top-of-the-Line Power

Do you still need more power? Chevy says bring it on, with a 6.2L V8 sporting Dynamic Fuel Management for maximum efficiency and a 10-speed transmission. This engine delivers an impressive 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. As for max trailering, expect to get up to 13,300 lbs! If that’s not enough, the 6.2L V8 now includes Active Exhaust with Sport Mode for increased performance.

The 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel I-6 is the top engine for the 2024 Silverado 1500. This option delivers 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque, combined with exceptional fuel economy and a max towing capacity of 13,300 lbs. However, up until now, it hasn't been available on the top-of-the-line ZR2 trim. That's changed for 2024, and you can now enjoy diesel-powered off-roading for even better performance.

  • Options

Nine Trims and Plenty of Packages

As for trim options, the 2024 Silverado is available in nine distinct trims. These range from basic pickups like the WT and Custom to luxury models like the LTZ and High Country. In the middle are the LT and RST. There are also three off-road options available: the Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, and ZR2. The majority of these trim options remain the same as the previous year, but some small tweaks have been made. For instance, the High Country trim now comes standard with Adaptive Cruise Control.

The Blackout Appearance package is now available for the Custom, Custom Trail Boss, RST, LT Trail Boss, and ZR2 trims. The Midnight Edition available for the High Country trim now includes additional features like new power-retractable steps with LED lighting for extra safety and convenience. Expect new additions to the Safety Package and WT Safety Package, as both now include Front and Rear Park Assist for drivers that want a little extra confidence when navigating tight parking.

While the Trailering Package is standard on the Custom and higher trim levels, it can still be had as an option for the WT trim if desired. The Trailering Package is designed to streamline the towing process, with a trailer hitch, seven and four-pin connectors, and Hitch Guidance technology to help you line up your trailer and hitch.

    Stay Connected

The 2024 Silverado 1500 doesn’t just offer drivers a lot in the way of power but also provides lots of updated tech to bring out your truck’s best features. Whether you want to stay connected, bring along personalized playlists, or set up a trailering profile to make hauling and towing easier and quicker than ever, the Silverado 1500 is here to help.

The entry-level WT offers drivers the essentials when it comes to technology, with a standard seven-inch touchscreen. However, if you want to unlock additional conveniences and features like the 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and enlarged digital gauge cluster, simply level up to the LT trim or above.

The technology in the 2024 Silverado 1500 makes it easy for drivers to sync their smartphones with their trucks. Connect with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for a personalized driving experience that gives drivers access to their custom playlists and favorite apps and allows them to send and receive messages without taking their attention off the road. For additional convenience, drivers can connect with Google Built-In to enjoy turn-by-turn navigation and real-time road updates without using their phones.

  • Safety

    Chevy Safety Assist

As for driver-assist technology, you know drivers are going to be looked after thanks to the 2024 Silverado 1500's standard Chevy Assist Package. This suite comes with an abundance of features to make driving, towing, and hauling safer than ever. The Standard Chevy Assist Package includes the following:

    • Automatic Emergency Braking: If and when a driver cannot respond quickly enough, the system supplies hard braking to help prevent or at least reduce the impact of a collision.
    • Front Pedestrian Braking: This system provides drivers with alerts when it senses a pedestrian directly in front of them. Braking is applied if the driver is unable to react in time.
    • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning: If you drift from your lane, Lane Departure Warning sends an alert, while Lane Keep Assist can safely guide you back into your lane if needed.
    • Following Distance Indicator: This system lets drivers know if they are following too closely to the vehicle ahead of them.
    • Forward Collision Alert: Drivers are warned if a frontal collision is imminent so that they can take action and avoid a potential impact.
    • IntelliBeam Automatic High Beams: This system senses oncoming traffic, automatically dimming your high beams until the vehicles have passed.

This impressive list of driver-assist features gives drivers plenty of control and confidence when navigating the road. However, there are more features available. Upgrading to the High Country trim unlocks Chevy’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology. This cutting-edge feature is designed to take some of the stress and fatigue out of long trips or mundane drives. The system offers drivers hands-free driving on more than 400,000 miles of roads across North America.

  • Convenience

    Designed for Life

The interior of the 2024 Silverado 1500 is as rugged as ever, but that doesn’t mean drivers can’t expect plenty of comfort and high-quality materials. The entry-level WT and Custom trims offer drivers the essential creature comforts with a streamlined, no-fuss interior that’s perfect for work and everyday driving. However, drivers can easily level up with higher trim options like the LTZ and High Country, which offer increased comfort and deluxe features with additions like wood accents and leather seating.

The LT trim and up gives drivers access to a larger touch infotainment screen and upscale dash with additional controls to make using and adjusting your truck’s tech and comfort features stress-free. However, no matter which of the trims you decide on, there’s no doubt that the Silverado 1500 was built for life. You can expect supportive seating, ample headroom and legroom, and plenty of cubbies and under-seat storage to bring along gear, luggage, or work essentials.

What is a truck without mentioning the truck bed? Chevy’s Multi-Flex Tailgate is here to make loading and unloading easy. The Multi-Flex Tailgate was first introduced in 2021 and has become a favorite of drivers looking for extra convenience while working in the field. The available Multi-Flex Tailgate offers drivers six different positions to make accessing your truck’s bed less of a strain while maximizing the efficiency of your workflow.
