When it comes to special editions, there are aesthetic differences and physical differences. In the case of the Equinox’s two special editions, they each have a mix of both aesthetic and physical differences, a combination that definitely makes them stand out from the crowd.
The 2023 Midnight Edition Equinox is available on the LS trim level and boasts 18-inch all-season blackwall tires, 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, and a unique mold-in-color black grille. These physical differences enhance the sleek, powerful styling of the compact crossover but also lend themselves to assisting in inclement weather and less-than-adequate roads. On the aesthetic side of the special edition, black body-color mirror caps and black bowtie emblems complete the look, making this a sought-after edition by those who want to subtly make a dramatic entrance.
The other option as far as special editions go is the Redline Edition, which is less subtle than its sibling, with a little bit more zest and pizzazz. The aesthetic changes include black bowtie emblems, decals on the outside mirrors, a black Equinox badge with a red outline, a Redline-specific black grille, and black headliners, door handles, window surround, and interior accents. Available for the Premier trim, this bold look is sure to turn heads and cause quite a stir. For the performance side, the Redline Edition includes 19-inch all-season blackwall tires and 19-inch black wheels with red accents and black center caps, which not only look cool but also serve to elevate the Equinox, giving you an advantage over those who drive a bit lower to the ground. You also get Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Alert to keep you straight in your lane of travel, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beam Assist that can handle turning on and off your high beams at night, even when a car is coming, so you don't have to. Also standard is the Rear Vision Camera, Rear Seat Reminder, and Teen Driver Technology.
