As people begin to shift towards more eco-friendly, financially responsible vehicles, it’s clear that there’s a need for smaller cars that still provide plenty of room for the entire family. Trunk space, adequate seating, safety features, and economic systems are at the top of the list when it comes to the new vehicle wishlist, which is why the 2023 Chevy Equinox is poised to become a favorite among drivers of all ages. As a compact crossover SUV, the Equinox is more manageable than larger vehicles while still providing a comfortable ride. The Equinox can navigate the streets with ease without infringing on the interior spaciousness people want.

2023 models have several new and exciting features and upgrades while keeping the things people love most about it––the airy cabin, an easy driving experience, and the sleek, powerful look of a more expensive vehicle. The Equinox can handle bringing your friends or family for a weekend getaway, whether you’re on a road trip on Route 66 or parking your camper near a national forest. With such a versatile vehicle, you’re just moments away from leaving your monotonous week behind and starting a weekend adventure. Have a list of places you’ve always wanted to see? Why not take a ride in your Equinox for a fun, inexpensive stop at the beach, the lake, or the mountains?

You don’t need to feel like you’ve given up your wants to get what you need. You can have it all with the 2023 Chevy Equinox. The best of both worlds is possible.

Perfect Performance for Your Daily Drive

Chevy’s 2023 Equinox is built to be your daily driving partner, helping you save gas, stay safe, and still have room for groceries, tools, and sports equipment. Its 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine was made to get good fuel economy, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun to drive. With 175 horsepower, it isn’t going to win a race against a sports car, but it’s still a peppy, smooth ride and will get you where you need to go without feeling like you’re crawling at a snail’s pace or dragging its wheels toward your destination.

Though front-wheel drive comes standard, there is an option to switch to all-wheel drive. With front-wheel drive, you can get an estimated 26 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. With all-wheel drive, these numbers will drop slightly to 24 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. These ratings are not that far off from the Chevy Malibu, a sedan that gets 27 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway, so you won't be sacrificing too much by going for a vehicle that is a bit bigger or one with all-wheel drive capability.

    More Capable Than You'd Expect

With the ability to tow 1,500 lbs, you can hook up a small trailer, camper, or boat and fill up the trunk with camping gear, food, supplies, fishing equipment, and whatever else you’d like to take along so that you can enjoy your time away to the fullest. If you’ve got an ATV, four-wheeler, mountain bike, or dirt bike, load them on the trailer and go try out that off-road area you’ve wanted to explore. You’ll find that this compact crossover can tow with the best of them. The Equinox looks slim and stylish, but don’t let that fool you––it can also get down and dirty.

What does all this mean for you? A dependable, economical, and smart compact crossover SUV that can handle everything you throw at it and more. You won’t have to rent or borrow another vehicle to take care of bigger jobs, and you won’t have to try and find one for those days when something smaller would be easier. The benefit of having an Equinox around means that there are endless possibilities for what you can now do. You aren’t limited to one kind of driving experience––instead, you can try out some new and exciting things that you’ve dreamed about for years. It’s why Chevy made the Equinox––they had you in mind.

    Stylish New Color Options

For the 2023 Equinox, Chevy has introduced a few new exterior paint colors. While some might not find the appeal of being able to choose between a wider color palette or unique stylings, it’s something that everyone who buys an Equinox can consider. Tired of the same old color choices? Then take a look at the Equinox in various shades of white, blue, bronze, black, gray, and red. New color choices for the 2023 model include Radiant Red Tintcoat, Harvest Bronze Metallic, and Sterling Gray Metallic. No matter which color you choose, these stylish options will turn heads and garner some well-deserved attention.

A Couple of Fun Special Editions

When it comes to special editions, there are aesthetic differences and physical differences. In the case of the Equinox’s two special editions, they each have a mix of both aesthetic and physical differences, a combination that definitely makes them stand out from the crowd.

The 2023 Midnight Edition Equinox is available on the LS trim level and boasts 18-inch all-season blackwall tires, 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, and a unique mold-in-color black grille. These physical differences enhance the sleek, powerful styling of the compact crossover but also lend themselves to assisting in inclement weather and less-than-adequate roads. On the aesthetic side of the special edition, black body-color mirror caps and black bowtie emblems complete the look, making this a sought-after edition by those who want to subtly make a dramatic entrance.

The other option as far as special editions go is the Redline Edition, which is less subtle than its sibling, with a little bit more zest and pizzazz. The aesthetic changes include black bowtie emblems, decals on the outside mirrors, a black Equinox badge with a red outline, a Redline-specific black grille, and black headliners, door handles, window surround, and interior accents. Available for the Premier trim, this bold look is sure to turn heads and cause quite a stir. For the performance side, the Redline Edition includes 19-inch all-season blackwall tires and 19-inch black wheels with red accents and black center caps, which not only look cool but also serve to elevate the Equinox, giving you an advantage over those who drive a bit lower to the ground. No matter which special edition you choose, you’ll end up with a sharp-looking vehicle that people ask about wherever you go.

  • Technology

The black interior of a 2023 Chevy Equinox shows the steering wheel and infotainment screen.

    A Wealth of Infotainment Features

Chevy’s Equinox has four trim levels total, but there are plenty of safety and technology features that are included in every trim level. For instance, the 2023 models will have either a seven or eight-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. Those who get the Premier trim will be happy to have wireless charging as standard, which means you can do away with irritating chords altogether.

However, no matter which trim you get, there will be wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to make using your infotainment system a breeze. Now you can wirelessly listen to your favorite audiobooks, podcasts, playlists, and news, as well as navigate. There are other standard features that make for an intelligent and helpful vehicle, like the 4G LTE onboard wi-fi, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, an auxiliary input jack, and USB connectivity.

    A Wealth of Safety Features

As far as safety features go, every 2023 Chevy Equinox is equipped with the Chevy Safety Assist suite standard. This suite includes the Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Front Pedestrian Braking, all of which work together to help eliminate or lessen the impact of a front-end collision with a person or object. You also get Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Alert to keep you straight in your lane of travel, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beam Assist that can handle turning on and off your high beams at night, even when a car is coming, so you don't have to. Also standard is the Rear Vision Camera, Rear Seat Reminder, and Teen Driver Technology.

If you’d like to add more goodies, there are optional safety feature add-ons, like the Front and Rear Park Assist, HD Surround Vision, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and the Safety Alert Seat. Having such a bevy of helpful tech at your fingertips isn’t always the experience in a compact crossover, but Chevy knows how important it is to keep you and your passengers safe and entertained.
